It's no secret that women are more likely than men to start a business. In fact, women have been starting more new businesses since 1995 than men have been since 1990! But what's less well-known is the challenges they face in their journey as entrepreneurs. This blog post explores some of these challenges and how you can overcome them:

Lack of Capital

When you're a woman and you want to start your own business, it's important to have enough money in the bank. It's also important that you don't spend too much of it on things like food or clothing before you get started with your venture.

Some ways people can raise capital include:

  • Fundraising events (like Kickstarter)

  • Bank loans

  • Friends and family (friends, family members)

The more people who invest in the success of your company, the better! If there are no investors involved then whatever money comes in will just be used for operating costs until such time as sales increase enough where it can be reinvested into new equipment or other expenses related directly back toward growing sales numbers over time which would then allow us not only sustainably grow but also continue growing exponentially.

Lack of Initial Clients

Networking and referrals are the best ways to get your business off the ground. Your network will tell you who is looking for what, and if they have any connections that might help you out of a jam. They'll also be able to recommend some leads on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (if they're willing). Make sure that when you're networking with people in person or online, it's clear that this isn't just about getting free stuff but about building a strong relationship between both parties so that there's mutual trust between them later down the line when things get more serious than just meeting up once in a while.

Lack of friends and family members that you can rely on for free advice, support, and encouragement.

As a woman entrepreneur, it's important to have people in your life who will be there for you when things get tough. They can provide feedback on your idea and give some insight into how others might perceive it as well as help with marketing strategies. Additionally, they'll be able to help build your brand by providing testimonials or references when potential clients ask about the product or service that you offer.

Time management is key to success as an entrepreneur.

Time management is one of the most important skills an entrepreneur can learn. Time is money, and if you don't use your time efficiently and effectively, then there's no way that your business will grow or thrive.

To help increase your productivity and manage your time more effectively:

  • Set aside a specific amount of time every day for working on your business--say, 15 minutes in the morning before starting any other tasks (or even later at night). This will give you an opportunity to get some work done before anything else starts distracting or complicating things for you!

  • Set clear expectations and deadlines.

  • Break down large tasks into smaller steps.

  • Make lists and prioritize tasks.
