Driven: Very determined to succeed

This week's WCW goes to fashion-icon Tory Burch.

Sure, her background (born into a wealthy family and an Ivy League student), may not be relatable for all of us, but the way she got to where she is now certainly is.

Take a look around on the streets of Dallas, Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles and you're sure to see the Tory Burch logo "T" on girls and women of all ages.

Tory didn't snap her fingers and suddenly become a fashion icon. She started with smaller positions at other companies before launching her own.

Her dreams led her to become one of the most recognizable names in fashion.

"If it doesn't scare you, you're probably not dreaming big enough," Burch said at a commencement ceremony.

We love that at LITRD.

Yes, Halloween was Monday and we don't want you to be THAT kind of scared, but your dreams should be big enough to scare you a little. Don't settle for something just because it seems safe or more realistic.

At LITRD we want to help you reach those lofty goals and dreams and we have

faith you're able to do it. We'll help you get there. (And we won't make it so scary.)

It is a focal point of our movement to empower others, especially women. We invite you

back this same time next week to see what person local or abroad we will be

highlighting for the week!

XO,

LITRD Staff (Michelle)
