Boss: a person in charge of a worker or organization.

TGIaT (Thank God it's Almost Thursday): Am I right, Shonda fans?

No, I'm not PUMPED because it's almost the end of the week. I look forward to Thursdays so that I can sit down with a bowl full of popcorn and wine (like my favorite Shonda character Olivia Pope, of course) and watch my favorite TV shows.

Shonda Rhimes is a boss...in the best of ways.

The woman has created some of the best shows on television--"Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," "How to Get Away With Murder," and the list goes on.

You know what all of these shows have in common?

Strong female characters.

Think about it? When was the last time you saw SO many strong females in one primetime lineup?

Sure, "The Office" was great, but Michael Scott isn't a girl. "Parks and Rec" had Leslie Knope, but I'd argue she's not on the same playing field as "Scandal's" Olivia Pope, who, while isn't in elected office like Knope, arguably runs the country.

Shonda shows us women can do anything. They are more than a supporting role.

At LITRD we agree. Your business is more than a supporting role in our mind. We put it front and center as the star of our show to get you results.

It is a focal point of our movement to empower others, especially women. We invite you

back this same time next week to see what person local or abroad we will be

highlighting for the week!

XO,

LITRD Staff (Michelle)
